Open Heart NeuroMeditation Course:
The Open Heart style of NeuroMeditation can be helpful for many people and for a variety of issues or struggles. Practicing Open Heart NM offers many benefits such as: increasing compassion for self and others; generating self acceptance, non-judgement and unconditional love; calming and bringing ease to the system; fostering feelings of connection to others and to life itself; building feelings of well-being and peace; increasing brain plasticity; and decreasing anger and resentment.
Through this class students will learn the basics of Open Heart NeuroMeditation, how this style impacts the brain and the body, when to turn to OH, movement meditations to Open the Heart and a variety of OH sitting meditations. Learn how to Open your Heart with NeuroMeditation and feel the difference. Helpful for people who: want to feel more connected, want to increase and foster compassion and unconditional love for self and others, have difficulty managing anger, are experiencing grief/loss, and/or live with Depression, PTSD, Anxiety (especially if this is related to feeling disconnected from others)
Open Heart NeuroMeditation:

Learning Objectives:
As a result of completing the course, students will be able to:
understand the foundation of Open Heart NeuroMeditation and the affect it has on the brain
determine how and when to use Open Heart NM to respond to various states of being (stress, anger, social anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD etc.)
relate how Open Heart NM impacts or affects the Vagus Nerve: including basics about the nerve and the critical role it plays in our felt state and lived experience of daily life
determine the appropriate target for Open Heart NM efficacy
practice movement meditations using Open Heart
engage in formal sitting Open Heart NeuroMeditations
discern which of the sense they connect with most easily as a route to connect with Open Heart
determine what type of imagery they strongly connect with and understand the importance of connecting with the "right" imagery for the each individual
access links and other resources for continued practice of Open Heart NeuroMeditations
After the course, students will have: a basic understanding of the Open Heart Style of NeuroMeditation; knowledge of how and when to practice Open Heart NM; experience practicing Open Heart NM through movement meditations and sitting NeuroMeditation; insight into which senses and imagery their brains connect with most easily; the tools and ability to continue independent practice at home.

Brief Introduction Course
Length: 2 hours
2 weeks of 1 hr or 1 class of 2 hrs
