NeuroMeditation for Anxiety Course
Living with Anxiety presents a variety of challenges and difficulties. It can seriously impact daily life and the quality of our lived experience. Regular practice of NeuroMeditation (brain-based) reduces Anxiety levels, restores balance to the nervous system and aids in managing anxiety in general. This class will teach you NeuroMeditative (brain based meditation) tools for understanding, reducing, regulating, and living with, Anxiety.
Through this class students will learn: the basics of using NeuroMeditation for Anxiety; how NM impacts the brain, the nervous system and the Vagus Nerve and how that relates to the Anxiety; which styles of NeuroMeditation are most helpful for Anxiety - how and when to use them; how to practice movement meditations and sitting NeuroMeditations for Anxiety- using a variety of imagery and senses.
NeuroMeditation for Anxiety

calms and quiets the system - aids in shifting into the calm/rest/safe state of the parasypathetic nervous system
increases self awareness

Learning Objectives:
As a result of completing the course, students will be able to:
understand the foundation of NM and the effect it has on the brain, the nervous system and on anxiety
use NM to respond to various states, and degrees, of activation
relate the relationship between Anxiety and Vagus Nerve
select from the various ways to practice the most helpful NM styles for Anxiety - and when to use them
practice movement meditations to to calm and quiet the system
practice sitting NeuroMeditations most helpful for Anxiety
discern which of the sense they easily connect with as a route to reduce activation and reestablish safety
determine what type of imagery they most connect with and understand the importance of connecting with the "right" imagery for the each individual
access links and resources for continued practice and other tools that can be beneficial for people living with Anxiety
After the course, students will have: a basic understanding of NeuroMeditation, the nervous system and the Vagus Nerve, and their role in our experience of Anxiety; insight into the various manifestations of Anxiety and which styles of NeuroMeditation are most helpful; knowledge of how and when to practice these NeuroMeditations to reduce and regulate Anxiety; experience with soothing, calming and restoring the self, through movement meditations and sitting meditations; recognition of which senses and imagery their brains connect with most easily; and the tools and ability to continue independent practice at home.
