Take the Reins of Your Mind
& Your Experience
My first hand experience of walking through the process of rewiring my brain after TRAUMA, enables me to relate to both the experience of: suffering from Complex PTSD, Depression, Complicated Grief, the process of identity dissolution and reconstitution, and also the long LONG journey through the labyrinth of the darkest nights of the soul. Although I'd had numerous other traumas in my life, finding my 13-year old daughter Lily dead from suicide in January 2017, resulted in a journey of complete annihilation, dissolution and recreation/emergence of self and connection to life. I know first hand the intensity of the struggle with these issues and hope that some of these tools will help, I also know the matching relief when you free yourself from living at the mercy of your trauma/pain. You can truly feel different. It takes a lot of work but it is SO worth it!

Why Mind Rein vs. Mind Reign?
Choosing Mind Rein was not just because of the connection my daughter and I had with riding horses. The primary reason was that to "REIGN" over something to take a stance of dominance. Whereas to REIN is more about the relationship between a horse and rider; a more symbiotic or felt relationship (well it can be - this depends on your approach to horses as well); it is rooted in trust going both ways. A rider feels if the horse is getting agitated or over stimulated, just as a horse feels a rider's various states of being. Our relationship with our bodies and minds is the same. Our body sends us signals and information about what is happening in the mind. Taking the Reins of your Mind means learning to listen to those signals, understanding what they mean, AND being able to respond in a way that puts the choice in YOUR hands. Ultimately you as metaphorical rider are responsible for how well you listen, respond, and interact with your mind and your body. Learning how to Rein your Mind leaves you feeling more empowered and able to manage whatever difficulty you are facing or experiencing.
