Mindfulness NeuroMeditation Course
The Mindfulness style of NeuroMeditation can be helpful for many people and for a variety of issues or struggles. Practicing Mindfulness offers a wide variety of benefits such as: quieting, calming, and bringing ease to the nervous system; connecting with the core self; slowing the racing mind; increasing self-awareness and the ability for self-regulation; developing interoception; becoming more aware of the present moment; generating acceptance of self and others; decreasing judgement and building brain plasticity.
Through this class students will learn: the basics of Mindfulness NeuroMeditation; how Mindfulness NM impacts the brain, the nervous system and the Vagus Nerve; how to incorporate informal and formal Mindfulness NM into daily life; when to practice Mindfulness NM how practice Mindfulness NM through movement meditations and sitting meditations using a variety of imagery and senses.
Mindfulness NeuroMeditation:
is helpful for many issues like: stress, anger, addiction, grief/loss, and PTSD to name just a few.
calms the system and generates well-being
increases self awareness
develops interoception
increases self- regulation
fosters connection with the Self
increases awareness of the present moment
generates self acceptance and non-judgement
aids in quieting the system - increasing a sense of ease
balances the mind and body

Learning Objectives:
As a result of completing the course, students will be able to:
understand the foundation of Mindfulness NeuroMeditation and the effect it has on the brain
determine how and when to use Mindfulness NM to respond to various states of being (stress, anxiety, depression, grief, etc.)
relate how Mindfulness impacts or affects the Vagus Nerve - as well as basics about the nerve, and the critical role it plays in our lived experience of daily life
engage with Mindfulness NeuroMeditations formally and informally
practice movement meditations using Mindfulness
practice guided sitting NeuroMeditations and various ways to practice Mindfulness NeuroMeditation - generally these differences are related to impacting, or connecting with, different senses; most people connect more with certain senses and specific imagery
determine what type of imagery they most connect with and understand the importance of connecting with the "right" imagery for the each individual
access links and other resources for continued practice of Mindfulness NeuroMeditation
After the course, students will have: a basic understanding of the Mindfulness Style of NeuroMeditation; knowledge of how and when to practice Mindfulness NM; experience practicing Mindfulness NM through movement meditations, and the various ways of practicing Mindfulness NM; insight into which senses and imagery their brains connect with most easily; the tools and ability to continue independent practice at home.

Brief Introduction Course
Length: 2 hours or 2 weeks
2 weekly classes at 1 hr - or 1 class at 2 hrs
